HOWTO #4: Laugh-track

Load up the funniest darn song you know.

You will need to download a recording of someone laughing. Check out some of the results from this google search for “laugh track wav”.

Save the file to your computer and import it in Audacity by clicking Project and Import Audio.

Find the laughter sound on your computer and open it. You should now have two tracks like this:

Use the Time Shift tool to move the laughter to a particularly poignant moment.

Be sure to leave some space at the beginning. Humor takes time.

Ha-ha! Wow! It’s like someone threw on Big Mama’s House 2!
